Tipping Point VEX

UPDATE: The 2022 in-person event has been scheduled for May 24, 2022.

It will be West Virginia’s first girls-only VEX robotics event.

If you are a female middle or high school student who is already involved in competitive robotics, or would like to be, please consider applying for this exciting opportunity! You will hear from leaders in STEM education and industries, learn more about the impact of women in the STEM workforce, and compete in a fun VEX robotics scrimmage. This event serves as the kick-off for an ongoing program to increase female participation in STEM by recruiting and sponsoring all-female robotics teams statewide. Space for this exciting event is limited and pre-registration is required.

  • Existing VEX Female Teams
  • Interested Female Individuals

We are recruiting female members of up to 16 existing VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) middle and high school teams from West Virginia who can use their VEX EDR V5 robot for the scrimmage. If you have no experience in robotics, but would like to hear from female leaders and experience a VEX competition, you can apply as an individual.

We are planning a 16 team robotics scrimmage using the VEX EDR V5 robot and playing this year’s game Tipping Point Each all-female team will play approximately 6 matches to get a ranking, followed by alliance selection, and ending with the elimination rounds. This scrimmage is meant to be a fun and exciting event with recognition given to all participants. We will not have a skills field and there will be no judging.

Those interested in competing can register using this registration form
